Mr. Asad joined as Deputy Director in SoP through FPSC on 10th August, 2000. He has engineering background in his qualification, after induction in SoP, he was imparted comprehensive surveying, mapping & Geo Informatics training at the Survey training Institute, Islamabad and promoted as Director in 2009. He has extensive experience in modern & traditional field surveying techniques. As Director, he also supervises the mega projects and national importance jobs of surveying, mapping & Geo Informatics, like execution of survey of Kachi Canal Project and its command area, survey for Master Plan of Gwadar project, survey of coastal line of Pakistan, demarcation of the International Border with Afghanistan, Iran & India. Further, he successfully executed the demarcation of Sindh Forest Areas and Bahria Town Karachi on the direction of the Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan and many more
