Dr Asmat joined SoP in October 1988. He holds a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing and GIS. He has extensive experience in geospatial information production and management. As Director of Cartography and GIS, he oversees the updating of geospatial databases and development of digital cartographic products. He is recognized as one of the pioneers of Pak-NSDI. Dr Asmat has authored several journal papers and book chapters on NSDI, Land Administration and Public Policy.
